Caramel Banana Pound CakeNEW

  • Banana (1 medium) / 120g
  • unsalted butter / 140g
  • granulated sugar / 130g
  • whole egg / 90g
  • weak flour / 160g
  • baking powder / 4g
  • bitter caramel (browned sugar used as flavouring) / 60g
  • Topping / 4g
  • FL Caramel / 60g
  • Banana (1 medium) / 120g

Recipe

Preparation
Mash 1 banana for dough.
Bring unsalted butter and eggs to room temperature.
Sift together flour and baking powder.

In a bowl, smooth the unsalted butter with a rubber spatula and add the granulated sugar. 2.
Add the beaten egg in three additions, mixing well with a whipper each time. 3.
Add the mashed bananas for the batter and whip well. 4.
Add the sifted flour mixture and mix roughly with a rubber spatula until powdery. 5.
Add the bitter caramel for the batter and mix until marbleized (do not over mix). (Do not over mix) 6.
Pour the mixture into the molds and bake in a preheated oven at 180℃ for 15 minutes. 7.
Remove from oven, cut bananas into lengthwise slices, and add FL caramel in a wavy pattern. 8.
Return to the oven and bake for 35 minutes.
